Reading, MA - Senior Captain, Jeremy Su, posted his best career finish at the MIAA All-State tournament by way of claiming 2nd place overall in the 145 pound weight class after taking 7th place at 138 pounds a year ago. After posting a technical fall in the first round of the tournament, Su upset a pair of MIAA Divisional State Champions (X. Chapman, Putnam, Division 1; C. Holland, Danvers, Division 3) en route to the finals. In the championship finals, Su once again met up with a familiar foe, Dan Haverty of Woburn - an individual whom Su has now wrestled in the finals of the three different MIAA Post-Season Tournaments: Division II Metro Sectionals, Division II States, and All-States. Unfortunately, Haverty edged Su by a final score of 3-1 in overtime to take home the 145 pound crown.

At 170 pounds, Junior Tim Ramstrom claimed 7th place after dropping a pair of tightly contest bouts to the eventual 3rd and 4th place wrestlers in the tournament. Ramstrom posted a final tournament record of 3-2 including a dominant victory over Vinnie Holmes of Mansfield (MIAA Division 1 State Finalist) in the 7th/8th place consolation finals match.

With their top-7 place finishes, both Su and Ramstrom qualify for the 2017 New England High School Championships on March 3rd and 4th in Providence Rhode Island.
