NATICK DEFEATS FRAMINGHAM
Natick Wrestling won the last five matches to cap a huge come from behind victory over rival, Framingham High School last night. The Red & Blue were down 15-33, but scored 27 unanswered points, with 103 lb. Peter Gutierrez's 7-2 win sealing the comeback victory 39-33 and sending the home crowd into a frenzy. RED & BLUE READY TO HOST RIVAL Natick Wrestling looks to end their regular season schedule on a strong note, as they host their longtime rival, Framingham High School on Wednesday, February 3rd at 7:00 PM. With the postseason just around the corner, Natick comes into their final home meet looking to continue wrestling at a high level. Be sure to come support the Red & Blue!
NATICK CAPTURES 11TH CONSECUTIVE HERGERT TITLE On Wednesday Janurary 27th, Natick Wrestling defeated Braintree 66-6. With that overwhelming victory, Natick won the Bay State Conference Hergert Title. This is the 11th consecutive season the Red & Blue have won the title and the 16th out of the last 17 years. The win helped the Red & Blue improve to 9-1 in BSC and 14-2 overall. On Saturday January 30th, the team heads to Newburgh, New York to participate in the 22nd Annual Newburgh Duals. Natick Wrestling will see some of New York's top teams, but look to do some out of state damage while continuing their successful season.

NATICK SWEEPS QUAD MATCHUP Natick wrestling continued rolling, as they captured 3 wins against Walpole (44-22), Needham (43-30), and Brookline (74-0). Natick's record moves to 13-2 overall, while also improving to 8-1 in the Bay State Conference. The Red & Blue next travel to Braintree High School on Wednesday at 7:00 PM, in hopes of capturing a victory that would secure their 11th consecutive Herget Division title. RED & BLUE TAKE 3RD AT NATICK INVITATIONAL 12 teams from throughout New England came together at Natick High School to take part in the 10th Annual Natick Invitational. With 191.5 points, the Red & Blue captured 3rd place, only behind Winchester and Tournament Champion, Springfield Central (221 Points).
Natick had three 2nd Place finishers, along with strong outings from other Natick Wrestlers. Red & Blue Wrestling now heads to Weymouth to take on the Wildcats on Tuesday, January 19th at 7:00 PM. NATICK IMPRESSIVE AT READING DUELS Natick placed second at the Reading Duals Saturday, January 2nd. After a first round win the Red & Blue defeated previously undefeated, North Andover 34-29, a perennial state power, in the semi finals. In the finals Natick squared off against undefeated Central Catholic, the # 1 ranked team in Division II.
Some back and forth matches went Centrals way and they handed Natick it's first loss of the season 41-24. Natick had strong performances from Chris Fuunnell, Glenn Duffy, Arthur Rose, Joe Kreinsen and Josh Cappadona. The Red & Blue inmprove to 8-1 and will travel to Dedham Tuesday January 5th. LOWELL HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT RESULTS Natick's Zach Thomas placed 6th at 112 at the Prestigious Lowell Holiday Tournament. Natick has attended since 1993 and has had at least one place winner every year. The Red & Blue placed 18th as a team (56 teams). Other strong performances for Natick were: Junior, Glenn Duffy 171 lbs went 5-2, Junior Arthur Rose 189, 4-2 Junior Nate Zeigler 215 3-2 , Senior Paul Kofi-Fleyn 125, 3-2 Senior Chris Funnell 160, 3-2 and Senior Joe Kreinsen 215 3-2. NATICK SWEEPS TRI-MEET Unbeaten Natick had nine double-winners as the host Red and Blue swept a tri-meet with a 76-6 Bay State Conference victory over Wellesley and a 63-9 non-league win over Xaverian.
Winning matches for Natick (6-0) against Wellesley and Xaverian were Jack Thomas (112 pounds), Paul Kofi-Flen (125), Will Sulser (130), Dimitri Kourtis (135), James Smith (140), Chris Funnell (160), Glenn Duffy (171), Arthur Rose (189) and Joe Kriensen (215).
NATICK WINS MILFORD INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT
Yesterday at the Milford Invitational Wrestling Tournament the Natick Red & Blue gained 188 total points, securing them with the overal team victory. In the 112 pound weightclass, Natick's Zach Thomas took 1st place. Natick had top 3 finishes in 13 out of 14 weightclasses, while host team, Milford finished the day in 2nd place with 171.5 points. RED & BLUE OFF TO FAST START On Tuesday, Natick Wrestling rolled to an easy victory by defeating Milton High School by the score of 63 - 6. The Red & Blue now look ahead to the Milford Invitational, which is the first tournament of the 2009-2010 season. To find directions to the tournament click here.
NATICK SWEEPS OPENING QUAD MATCHUP Natick Wrestling kicked off the 2009-2010 season in impressive fashion on Saturday as they beat Norwood (52-9), Mansfield (40-26), and Holliston (58-24) infront of an excited, home crowd.
